A Thanksgiving Feast From Spud
Tweet
Readers of LA Foodie know that I’m a big fan of Spud!, a local and organic grocery delivery service here in Los Angeles. A while back, I did a full review of the service and the outcome was that Spud! is usually pretty great. I continue to use their service from time to time when I feel like I’ll be too busy to get to the local farmers markets. I encourage you to check out their site or use LA Foodie’s discount code for some free groceries (I get free stuff too when you use my code!).
Just in time for Thanksgiving, Spud is calling for nominations of families in need who live in the Los Angeles & Orange County area. Between November 1st through November 17th, LA & OC residents are asked to submit their nomination via Spud’s Facebook page or email their story or video to losangeles@spud.com.
A total of five families will be randomly selected to receive a “Holiday Harvest Box” (valued between $80.00 – $110.00 each), which will be delivered on November 19, 2010, just in time for Thanksgiving. Each delivery box will contain a choice of free-range/organic meat (or meat alternative), fresh seasonal organic produce and all of the traditional Thanksgiving fixings for a family of four.
So please take a minute and nominate somebody who could really use it this Thanksgiving. Let’s help make some great holiday memories for a few lucky families.
