But just because it's "fast food" doesn't mean it has to be a fast food chain like those pictured above. There is plenty of fast food here in Southern California that serves fresh, all-natural fare and sells it at the same price as a Whopper and a box of fries. I always thought a cool cookbook idea would be a guide to local fast food. The best of hamburger stands, noodle shops, pizza by the slice, etc. would be covered. The book could show that you don't have to spend much to get great food. Hopefully people get a little bit of that from Los Angeles Foodie.
