LudoBites at Royal-T

I subscribe to Thrillist. It can get annoyingly over-laden with advertisements, but for the most part it’s a good daily food newsletter. This morning at 4:18 AM, I received today’s Thrillist email that announces a partnership between chef Ludo Lefebvre and Royal-T (the Japanese cosplay tea house in Culver City). I was excited for two reasons. First of all, I love the downtown Culver City area. I bought a home here to experience the growing food and culture scene, and so far the area hasn’t disappointed me. And after a meal two nights ago at Le Saint Amour, my faith in Culver City is stronger than ever. The second reason to be excited was the opportunity to finally try these LudoBites that people just won’t shut up about.

You can see from the above screen shot (or from the information at LudoBites.com) that this culinary event is spread out over 13 days. When I clicked through to register, I was informed that the event has already sold out.
Assuming that there were still enough reservations available to justify an entire Thrillist email at the time that this morning’s newsletter was delivered, this LudoBites event sold out completely sometime between 4:18 AM and 8:30 AM. That’s really saying something about a chef’s prowess. So if anybody wants to invite me, I’m available. Or if any LA Foodie readers are going, I would love to have you write a guest post about the experience.
