The folks over at The Original Long Beach Lobster Fest invited Los Angeles Foodie to join in the seafood feast, so I’ll be there enjoying huge crustaceans, likely with a huge smile on my buttery face.
In advance, here are some details:
The Original Long Beach Lobster Festival will take place September 11-13 at the picturesque Rainbow Lagoon in Long Beach.
There will be fresh Maine lobsters flown in nightly from the icy waters of the salty Atlantic Ocean. Bristol Farms Master Chef Bruce Jacobs and crew serve unforgettable lobster dinners, steamed to mouth-watering perfection. Feasts include sweet, succulent lobster, melted butter dipping sauce, fresh cut lemons, coleslaw, dinner roll and watermelon.
Some deets about live entertainment:
- Friday, September 11th: The Disco Kings (Disco Tribute Band) and Bonne Musique Zydeco
- Saturday, September 12th: Armand St. Martin, The Bill Magee Blues Band, Orquesta Charangoa, Upstream, A,J. Gibbs, “The Zydeco Dance King
- Sunday, September 13th: Nathan Owens Motown and Soul Review, Hush featuring Eddie Estudillo, Hugh Von Kleist, and Eddie Baytos and the Nervis Bros. Parade.

The festival will also feature an international food court, arts & crafts booths, delicious desserts, beer & wine gardens, special themed cocktails. Children will love the storytellers, magicians and inflatable bounces. New this year: Live Sports Tent, where you can watch your favorite sporting events on 4 flat screen TV’s while enjoying your lobster feasts. Also, Free general admission to all active U.S. military personnel.
